Week # 1 - Introduce us to your tree!

After selecting one tree to adopt for the month of March, please let us know:

  • The address or specific location of your tree (we will be creating a map of our adopted trees)
  • What your tree looks like and what type you think it is (You do not need to know the specific kind of tree yet just describe it if you can)
  • What is around your tree (Are there other trees, is there a building, is it on the street, etc.)
  • Why you chose that particular tree

Please comment below using your room number and assigned letter.

1 The backyard of 1012 S. 45th S.T.
2 Lots of ivy on its trunk ,tallest tree on the block.
3 Has fur trees,flowers ,and a fence around it.
4 It is close and big.

the tree that i have selected is in my neighbors backyard on 4200 block of b Baltimore .My tree is taller than my 3 story house.It has lots of branches and no leaves. Sometimes I hear birds chirping in the tree. My tree used to have another tree next to it. Now the tree next to my tree is a stump.My tree has bricks , wood, and has vines creeping up the side of the tree.I picked this tree because it looked interesting.I thought it would be fun to study this tree.

1) The corner of 44th and Spruce Street.
2) It is dark brown. There are a lot of branches. There are no leafs. There is a trash bag stuck in it. There are stems sticking out.
3) There are cars, houses, restaronts and bars. It is on the sidewalk. It is right in front of my house.
4) I choose this particular tree because it is right in front of my house. It is the closes one near my house

My tree is a Dogwood tree.It is surronded by shrubs.
It is on my block.

My tree is in the left back corner of my backyard. Its next to a playhouse.It is over 40 feet tall because it is taller than our house and our house is 4 stories tall. It has lots of roots going under ground and coming back up some were else. It has at least 13 big branches and way more small branches.It is in a yard next to a big tree and a small one.There are two gates,some bricks, a playhouse,weeds,and lots of dirt.Why I chose this tree was because it has lots of roots and its tall.It has a good habitat.It is very old and easy to find.

My tree is a blossom tree, it is a tall tree the size of 2 stories building.
It has a lot of branches, I expect it to be full of leaves by spring.
It is located in the corner of 43 rd and Locust between PAS and CVS.
I love this tree .

1. My tree is located on the Northwest corner of 48th and Larch wood Avenue directly in front of the Southbound Septa 64 bus route.

2. My tree looks a bare pom pom with arms and little cherry poms.
It has four main branches that support several smaller branches and twigs. All the leaves have fallen from the tree. The only thing left are the cherry pom or pom pom looking objects hanging from the smaller branches.

3. It is sandwhiched between a "STOP" sign that sits to the north of it and a "BUS" sign that sits to it's south. It has such a large trunk that it's roots have caused the sidewalk to pickle a bit. The closest tree sits directly across the street on the northeast corner. It sits right in front of my NaNa's house.

1.The location of my tree is 4523 Larchwood, 19143.

2. My tree is middle sized, great for climbing and a japanese maple. the tree's bark is light brown. It is dark brown right now because it is wet. It currently has very few leaves.

3. The tree is in front of our neighbor's house, surrounded by mulch.

4.I chose this tree because I used to live next to it and I have been climbing on it since I was four.

My tree is on the 4400 block of Osage. The bark is silvery brown.I choose it because I like it and I like the little red flower buds. It is the biggest tree on it's side of the block.

house it's bark texture looks rough my tree is't very thick it grows dark
blue bird berries.My tree is surrounded by a bamboo fence,a pot and

1.In front of our house on 4627 Cedar avenue by the curb
2.it has many many branches, has a hole in the trunk, splits into 4 trunks about 4 feet of the ground, and it is the tallest tree on the street.
3.There are other trees[1 small tree and 1 tiny tree].
4.I chose this tree because it is very old and I see it every day.

My tree is on 229 south 44 street. My tree is tall, wide, does not have leaves, it is brown and it is infront of my house. My tree is on the sidewalk, there is a house next to it and there are other trees around it. I chose this particular tree because it is infront of my house so I can observe and take notes to see how is my tree changing and I can also see through my window at any moment.

My tree is in my back yard. It is a red maple. It's skinny and it's a baby.
It has buds. There is fence, brick, and plants around my tree. I choose this tree because it is nice to look at and is nice in the summer.

My tree is in the backyard of our apartment on Spruce street. My tree is in the shape of a Y and it is very, very tall. Because the tree is in my backyard, I like to climb it when the weather is nice. I chose this tree because it is close and it is a tree I like to climb.

My tree is between 47 street and 46 street on Osage. It is closer to 47 street. It is in the front yard of a house. It is on the south side of the block.

My tree has smooth bark. Brownish gray bark. Tiny buds on branches. The trunk of the tree is 21 inches around at the bottom. My tree is about 15 feet tall. The next 2 branches are 12 inches around and 14 inches around. Right now it doesn't have red leaves like it does in the spring.

It is in a front yard. Around the tree are flowers, ivy, bushes, and trees. Our next door neighbors have the same kind of tree in their front yard. There is a huge tree across the sidewalk.

I picked this tree because of its beautiful red leaves.

My tree is located in front of my house, My tree is very tall it is at least 5 times my size. My tree is very rough, and my tree has lots of branches but no leaves. My tree is on the sidewalk surrounded by plants. I picked my tree because it is in front of my house so I can do my homework.

My tree is right in front of my house. My tree is young and thin with bare branches because it's winter. My tree has two poles to support it. It is on a street so it has buildings and cars and other trees and mean people throw trash on it. I chose this tree because it is special to me because it has my placenta under it.
