This week continue to take notes on your tree observations. Think about what problems/threats might affect your tree. How could we help solve those problems or better protect and care for your tree?

Has anything changed since your last observation?
What things might be a problem for your tree and might have a negative affect on your tree's well being and growth?
What could we do to help the tree live long and continue to be a healthy part of our community?

Last summer,my tree got a branch sawed off because it was growing too rapidly.I 'm afraid it is going to grow slow this time.I wish I could do something...

The branches of a tree sometimes grow into the telephone wires. We have to keep the branches of the tree trimmed to avoid that problem.

There are bigger buds on my tree since my last observation.

There is ivy growing on the ground near my tree. It is important to keep
the ivy trimmed or it will strangle tree.

We could help our tree live a good healthy life by helping stop pollution and global warming. Instead of Mommy driving me to Cub Scouts she could walk me. Also help keep the water clean by not litering.

I found out that my tree is not only a part of the enviroment,it's also a home to many squirrels and birds in the summer.

My tree had a branch cut down, so it would be best if some people looked after it some more,to make sure nobody climbs it any more for a while,otherwise if the tree gets bended,it might get other growing errors in the future.

I don't like that people let there dogs go to the bathroom and stratch there paws on my tree I feel that it is messing it up.
Now that it is spring there are flower buds on my Tree Branches.

nothing because my tree is very strong.
we could trim dead limbs and not plant too many trees super close to it.

The bud scales are little bit opened. I see pinky color inside. The tree is on the sidewalk. There isn't a lot of soil. The tree's roots might not grow well.

1. I saw a buttercup it was yellow
2. I saw a cherry tree with pink flowers on Locust Walk.

1. I felt smooth pettles on the buttercup on Locust Walk.
2. I felt rough rocks on Locust Walk.

1. I heard a sparrow chirping
2. I heard running water from our hose in our back yard.
