Week # 1 - Introduce us to your tree!

After selecting one tree to adopt for the month of March, please let us know:

  • The address or specific location of your tree (we will be creating a map of our adopted trees)
  • What your tree looks like and what type of tree you think it is (You do not need to know the specific kind of tree yet just describe it if you can)
  • What is around your tree (Are there other trees, is there a building, is it on the street, etc.)
  • Why you chose that particular tree

Please comment below with your room number and assigned letter.

-Between 321 and 319 on South 44th street between spruce and pine.
-It is an American Sycamore.
-There are other trees and it is surrounded by buildings.
-I could easily see its features from my house.

-behind the house 428 south 45th street
-it is a white dog wood
-other bushes,trees,and buildings are around it
-it always has some kind of animal in it ,a bird, squirrel, or insect.

-In backyard, Baltimore Ave. 4227
-Very wide, covered with ivy, and is very tall
-The only tree in a unclean backyard, only has a dead tree for company surrounded by two buildings
-I chose this tree because it is easy to reach and I can go there anytime

-1) Next to the 4615 Osage Ave house
-2)My tree is a pine with branches that are bare near the trunk and leafy further away from the trunk, perfect for climbing
-3)Bushes, sunporch, on the side of a house
-4)In spring, my friends come over and we climb on and play near this very tree. It is very strong but not very tall so we can easily climb to the top. That tree is very special to me.

-My tree is located at Baltimore Avenue and Farragut Terrace
-My tree is big and brown with raisin like bark
-My tree is completely surrounded by cement and is breaking it up
- I picked this tree because it is convenient and I want to know what kind of tree it is

-My tree is located in 42nd and Regent Square
-My tree is short ,it has a lot of branches,and it has a skinny trunk
-My tree has a iron fence around it and a porch
-I chose this tree because it is my tree

-It is brown and is a oak tree
-There is cement around it and one building
-I chose this tree because it is the closest tree and it is helthy

1. The corner of 44th and Spruce Street.
2. It's brown, has no leaves, very big and tall, very small roots, the trunk isn't very thick, and it has a lot of branches.
3. A building, cars, the street, and the green light.
4. It is right in front of my apartment building.

my tree is in my back yard. it is very tall its called a willow tree it provides lots of shade the branches are long with little green leafs. dirt and ivy are around the tree i choose this tree because its relaxing to look at.

-My tree is brown with a very light color and very skinny with black holes.

- Right in front of our school
- I think it is American Sycamore and it has white bark on one side and and brown bark on the other side with some fruit hanging down from it
- it is in front of a fence with two trees across from it
- I chose this tree because it looks very interesting, want to lean more and it is relaxing

1. My tree is on Cedar Ave and is between 4621 and 4619
2. My tree is an Ash tree. It's leaves look like it has a stem with about three, oval leaves branching out on each side.
3. My tree has a tree on either side of it a few dozen yards away. There is a street behind it and two houses in front of it.
4. I chose this tree because I have a perfect view of it from my bedroom window.

In backyard on 46th street
it has lots of branches,it's shedding and is very tall
my tree is near a lot of leaves and in yard
I choose this tree because I thought it would be very interesting to learn about it's features

-44th and Osage in the center of my backyard
-My tree has red leaves in the spring and the summer. It has a very skinny trunk. It doesn't stand straight but bends down low. It is a Japanese Maple.
-There are many plants around my tree. It is in a raised flower bed in my backyard.
-I chose it because it is close to me and it is easy to observe.

- The tree is behind a bench in PAS field; 4209 Spruce Street.
- My tree is very thick and tall, maybe a 9 foot diameter, starts to have many branches at about 11 yards upwards.
- Directly in front of the tree is a is a bench, other trees are within a close distance, at the top of the tree branches start to run into other tall trees.
- I chose to observe this tree because many games I play on the field involve the tree and it is one of the largest trees I have ever seen.

- my tree is behind my house at 4602 Baltimore Avenue
- it is a Japanese Maple
- in the fall it has bright red leaves but now it has no leaves
- it is tall and skinny and splits into two parts after about 3 feet
- I chose this tree because it is behind my house and I can see it from my room

-my tree is on 45th street in front of my house
-my tree is a sycamore tree
-it can grow up to 175 feet tall and 14 feet wide
-the large leaves are typically 4-6 inches long
-the tree's tuck often splits near the bottom making it look like it has 2 trucks
-it's in front of my house on the side of the street
-I choose this tree because it's in front of a restaurant and I can see it out of the living room window

it is skinny and has no leavs .
there are car's other trees.
I choose it because it is one of my favorit trees.

- River birch
-Thin ,brownish tanish bark ,esay to peal off, no leaves
-Backyard, wooden fence, stone wall, 2 other River birches
