For this week, continue to tell us more about your tree.

Are there any changes to the tree since your last observation?
Do you notice something you didn't before?
Describe the different parts of your tree.
Do you have new thoughts about your tree based on what we learned in class?

since last observation my tree has started to bud
I noticed there is ivy around my tree[not poisonous]
my tree has a medium size trunk and very thin branches
I really wonder if there are a lot of these kinds of trees out there or if they are almost extinct

I like the way you described your tree. I can picture the ivy growing around it.

What kind of tree do you have?

- No, the tree has not really changed.
- It has tiny little buds growing
- The tree is about 10 feet tall. It has a small trunk that splits into 2 big branches. It has buds but no leaves or berries.
- My tree is a biotic factor.

Comments from week 1:
- My tree is at 4622 Hazel Avenue (back yard)
-My tree is a Service Berry tree. Right now it is bare but in the summer it has red leaves (I think). It also has berries that you can eat.
-The tree is behind the house, next to a fence, a bush and a big American Cherry tree that is half dead. There is also grass in the yard under it.
-I chose this tree because it is a new tree that we got free from the city last fall. I have never seen it bloom yet. Our pet rabbit is buried under the tree.

-There is another hole on the side.
-It has patches of white on the bark,it also has round, spiky fruit.
-How much producer sugar can my tree make?

-My tree is starting to grow little buds
-Leaves are growing on the trunk of the tree
-I think it's wierd there are leaves on the trunk but not on the branches

-My tree has gotten bushier and greener
-The branches are sticky from sap
-The trunk is very skinny as well as the branches. The branches are bare close to the top, but bushier farther out
-I think it is strange the way the branches are formed

-There are no changes to my tree since my last observation. It is still bare.
-My tree has very skinny branches, and the stems of many of the buds that died before are still there.
-The different parts of my tree are the roots, the trunk, the branches, twigs and the stems.
-I have learned that the tree is a 'producer', because it produces its own food.

-My tree is growing
-tree has been cut many times
-branches our long and skinny, trunk is slanted and dark
-I think it's strange how the tree is slanted and still growing

My tree has skinny branches. It has buds no flowers yet. I think my tree looks like a young tree because it's not as tall as the others around it. The trunk is also very skinny. It has these circle like things on the trunk that I don't know what they are.

- My tree started growing moss
- My tree has a trunk, roots, and branches
- I know that it is biotic and a producer because it makes it's own food, sugar

- Everything is the same nothing has changed
- Some of the branches were cut
- Trunk, roots, and branches
- I know my tree is biotic and it is part of an ecosystem, it is an organism
- Measure by using something bigger than it, a house

cool how you used a house to measure it

1. Nothing much has changed. The tree is still bare
2. I noticed that the bark of my tree is like little worm holes without roofs. Each line gos a different route upward
3. Based on what we learned I realized it is a producer.
4. I'd say that my tree is taking it's time in terms of getting buds.

I forgot to add that I have a medium size trunk that goes up pretty high before sending out thick branches that have more branches coming out of them. where the branches are sent out there is a little spot where snow sometimes rests.
An interesting fact about my tree is there are invasive beetles called an ash borer that is eating most of the ash trees in the US. Luckily, my tree isn't infested.

- I have not noticed anything but a few more fruit are growing.
- I have noticed it`s bark is a little more brown.
- The tree has a trunk, long and a bit wide branches, a lot of twigs, and some roots are coming out the ground
- I`d say not really.

-There is nothing new with my tree. Looking for buds but none yet.
-There are flowers growing in the dirt around my tree.
-The tree has a skinny trunk with four or five main branches and many smaller branches coming out of them.
-The only way to measure the height of my tree is by using my house. It's right next to my house. It's only one story tall. I can't see the top of the tree from the front bedroom window.
-My tree is a Japanese Maple. So the leaves look like regular maple leaves only smaller.

-Many of the branches seem to have fallen and are lying at the base of the tree. Stubs are now where branches were before.
-I've noticed that darker spots are randomly found near the bottom of the tree.
-The trunk is thick, and it goes straight up to the top of the tree. Branches are only found higher, but they split quickly. The roots of my tree are coming out almost everywhere.
-I wonder how old my tree is.

-the tree looks like it lost some small branches
-the tree's has a big trunk and has a lot of branches
-the tree can be measured in meters and is about 30-40 meters tall

3/14/2013 08:31:39 pm

The bark fell off my tree. There are animals living in the tree. There are white spots and brown spots. The animals stuff is becoming nutrients. It is as tall as an apartment.
