Week # 3 - Trees, Environment and Community

For this week, continue to make basic observations of your tree. However also think about how you think your tree might contribute to the environment it's a part of and the human community around it?

Have you observed any changes or something new about your tree since last time?
How is your tree a part of it's surroundings?
What could impact the growth of your tree?
How is your tree an important part of the ecosystem?
How does your tree benefit the environment around it (other plants, soil, animals, water, etc.)?
How does your tree benefit the human community around it?
Are there new thoughts you have about your tree based on what we discussed in class?

my tree has more worms dirt and trees
it has more and more things around my tree
it is a important for the ecosystem because it lets things stay alive
it lets birds and other things stay instead of dieing

1. The tree gives oxygen.
2. The buds have sprouted a little bit and there are tiny leaves.
3. There are other trees and cars around it.
4. The cars, the pollution, smoke, trash around it, sun and rain.
5. It is a living thing. It gives oxygen.

- The moss disapeared
- It is part of nature
- The water and the Sun

-My trees buds are growing extra fast , but stopped budding after the snow
-My tree has vines and other plants around it and they depend on the tree
- I will measure the growth of my tree on how big and how many buds there are what could impact the growth is snow because the buds will only grow in warm weather
-If my tree were not there than animals wouldn't have that tree to live in and they wouldn't have any berries to eat
-My tree helps animals by giving them a place to live and food to eat, it gives soil leafs and berries to decompose which makes nutrients for the other plants around it and it's self
-My tree makes oxygen
-A thought that I have about my tree is that I think it is cooler and more interesting than I think it is after reading that amazing book about the Redwoods

-There's a birds nest in my tree.
-There's some type of animal hole in my tree.
-My tree is touching a telephone wier.
-My tree's branches are geting thiner.

The real small branches have turned red.
Very small buds, but only a few.
There are new flowers at the base of the tree.

- Nothing has changed
- Gives oxygen, lets ivy grow on it, and it is a plant
- Wouldn't get enough water or someone could cut it
- It gives oxygen and gives a living to other plants
- It lets ivy grow on it, lets animals live in it, and it drinks up the rain so there isn't a lot of mud

-No more twigs around base, otherwise not much has changed.
-It is a major producer in its ecosystem, so other things need it.
-The loss of things in its ecosystem, lack of things needed for photosynthesis.
-Without it primary consumers would have less food.
-It helps animals survive by supplying them with food and shelter or supplying their pray with those things.
-It creates oxygen which is helping us breath and stops pollution.
-I am still wondering what type of tree could it be.
