Week # 4 - How can we protect the trees?

This week continue to take notes on your tree observations. Think about what problems/threats might affect your tree. How could we help solve those problems or better protect and care for your tree?

Has anything changed since your last observation?
What things might be a problem for your tree and might have a negative affect on your tree's well being and growth?
What could we do to help the tree live long and continue to be a healthy part of our community?

I didn't get my comment done in time again. This comment is for week 3. I don't think my tree which is a magnolia that keeps getting bigger and bigger although my dad keeps trying to prune it helps the natural environment much. Maybe it gives some oxygen and its leaves might act as mulch. My tree is right in the center of my front garden and is really pretty when it blooms. I've seen a cat scratching its claws on its trunk. And I think I've seen some bees around it before. The blooms are definitely getting bigger.

One problem for my magnolia could be that it keeps getting too big and needs to be trimmed more often so that it doesn't cause problems for the other trees and shrubs around it.

The buds kept getting bigger this week. I think it will bloom soon.

i take care of my tree by watering it and i put soil in to make it healthy.

My tree has not changed.However its surroundings have,there is a small tree near it that is sprouting leaves.
We climb on my tree,sometimes we break a few branches.:[
I think that we can help my tree live longer by protecting it from
harmful weather and insect damage.
I identified my tree, it is a yew bush {u bush}.The latin word is taxus.: ] The yew bush is also very poisonous and can KILL you if you eat any part of it. [berries,leaves ect]

people can hurt trees with a car door.
we can water trees

Buds are starting to grow on my tree. They could be hurt by raccoon's or other animals trying to live in the tree. We could put a bird feeder away from the tree.

squirrel's climb up my tree .my tree splits into two.
